Ground penetrating radar to detect both shallow and deep targets simultaneously.

LMX® Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems are designed and optimized for utility locating, making it easy to add GPR to your locating workflow. LMX GPR systems detect both shallow and deep targets simultaneously and quickly display the results on the display unit in the field.

GPR is widely used for utility location and is used for identifying and marking utility mains that are underground. GPR offers a safe method to locate underground utilities that include natural gas lines, oil and gas pipelines, cable television, fiber optics, national telecommunication lines, electricity distribution, traffic lights, street lights and so on.

GPR is also used for locating storm drains, water mains, septic systems, sewer laterals and wastewater PVC pipes.

The LMX® system is a great complement to traditional pipe and cable locators and allows you to Locate & Mark®:

  • Metal utilities, including pipes and cables
  • Non-metallic pipes, including PVC and asbestos cement
  • Concrete storm and sewer systems
  • Utilities where installed tracer wiring has failed
  • Underground storage tanks and drainage tiles
  • Septic system components
  • Non-utility structures such as vaults, foundation walls and concrete pads

Locate & Mark Application

a)    The Locate & Mark Application is largely based on the workflow of current Locate & Mark application,

b)    Displays a cross-section view when scanning a line

c)    Allows the user to save image files to later be transferred via USB.  Image files are standard JPG files so no need for LMX ImageView software – you can use whatever graphics imaging software you want to display the data images.

d)    Uses a GNSS coordinate to the image (Geo-tagging)

e)    Application exports Google Earth KMZ files containing

                      i.        User entered flags

ii.        Embedded screenshots at geotagged location

f)     Application exports screenshot JPG image files from the applicable modes

g)    Application allows you to export images via Wi-Fi Mini-Report

Survey & Map Application

a)    The Survey & Map Application will organize data in Project folders

b)    Collect/display LineScan data

c)    Collect/display a Grid Scan

d)    Application supports grid sizes:

    a.     5 m x 5 m (15 x 15 ft.) size grid

    b.    10 m x 10 m (30 x 30 ft.) size grid

    c.     15 m x 15 m (50 x 50 ft.) size grid

e)    Application supports multiple Grid spatial resolutions (line spacing):

    a.     25 cm (1 ft.)

    b.    50 cm (2 ft.)

    c.     1 m (3 ft.)

f)     Grid with GPS coordinates

g)    Depth slice views of the grid on the DVL

h)    Enhance small, medium and large targets using DynaT

i)      Map View capable of showing all LineScan’s, GridScans, flags, and field interps

j)     Add point interpretations to cross-section images.  These field-interps will have associated x, y, and z coordinates.

k)    Exports screenshot JPG image files

l)      Email images via Wi-Fi Mini-Report
