The Topcon FC-500 Data Collector Standard is a multipurpose unit that not only collects data, but it can transfer it to other machines. It uses Windows Mobile 6.5, which allows different software programs to be installed, including Outlook, Word, Internet Explorer, and other useful programs. It is also compatible with MAGNET Field and TopSurv. With 8GB of memory, it can store plenty of data as wel as 512 MB of RAM.

With built in WiFi and Bluetooth, the Topcon FC-500 Data Collector Standard can transfer the data easily. The data can be transferred to a total station unit, a GPS, or a computer. There is also both serial and mico USB ports and will work with SD and SIM cards. It also has a digital camera with 5 megapixels. The LCD touchscreen color display is also easy to read, even in direct sunlight.

With a rating of IP-68, th Topcon FC-500 Data Collector Standard is protected against both water and dust. It can even be submerged up to 3 feet without damage. The case is also protected against being drop from 5' up. It is also durable enough to withstand a temperature range from 140 degrees F down to -22 degrees F.
