CATU AC High Voltage Detector 63/90kV - Indoor / Outdoor Details
Note: This voltage detector is available with either type C or type K end fittings for attachment to CATU’s poles with the same connectors. Please choose which version you’d like using the dropdown box above when placing your order.
Suitable for use on high voltage systems such as overhead lines with voltage rating of 63-90kV, the CATU CC-245-63/90 hooks directly onto an electrical application and alerts the user of voltage presence.
The detector is heavy duty and is designed to specifically be resistant to impact, vibration, extreme temperature, humidity and is insensitive to induced voltages that might otherwise skew measurements.
When voltage is detected this voltage indicator will use both 4 bright red flashing electro-luminescent diodes (which can be seen from up to 50m away) and will sound a loud rated acoustic signal at 60 decibels.
This detector is also designed to connect directly to CATU’s insulated poles* to allow voltage detection to be carried out safely and from ground level without the need to use insulating ladders etc. Simply clip the end fitting of this instrument directly into the pole and you’ll be able to start testing.
To ensure accuracy over time the CATU CC-245-63/90 also includes an integrated self-testing button which will test all active components.
This CATU HV detector is compliant with IEC 61243-1 (edition 2).
