Crowcon Rechargeable Single Gas Personal Gas Detector Description

The Crowcon Gasman is an intrinsically safe personal gas monitor designed to alert you to the presence of a single gas.

Every Gasman is configured with 2 levels of instant response alarms, ensuring you can evacuate quickly, as soon as gas content is present. When gas is detected, the Gasman will use a combination of three different alarms to ensure you are alerted instantly. The following alarms are included:

• 95dB loud audible alarm
• Vivid twin red/blue visual alarms
• Internal vibrating alarm

Crowcon's Gasman detectors are made tough - they have a rugged polycarbonate housing designed for use in demanding conditions. The case is water and dust resistant to IP65 and has full overmoulding to protect against impact damage. At the back of the case, the Gasman includes a clip which you can use to attach the detector to your clothing for comfortable, hands-free instant gas detection.

The Gasman is controlled by a single button for ease of use - using this, you can select between standard display of gas content, peak display (shows the highest value of gas detected), reset the peak function and also zero the unit in clean air to maintain overall accuracy.

By combining the Gasman together with Crowcon's optional RS232 communications link (available with the single way charger interface, part no. CO1940), you can also access logged gas readings over a period of time. The Gasman is configured to record data every minute (can be adjusted with the PC software) and up to 900 hours of data can be stored (assumes 1 minute intervals). The logging facility can also store switch on/switch off, level 1 and level 2 alarms, alarm off, peak level during alarm, zero, calibration, gas tests and other parameters!
