MSX works by blending together a captured thermal image with a standard digital image. In practice, this means you can easily see what the camera was pointing at and even spot individual items such as labels, ID numbers and specific parts. This camera also comes with FLIR's UltraMax mode - this is a unique image processing technique which generates reports with images that have four times as many pixels, allowing you to hone in one smaller targets and measure with exceptional levels of precision.

The T640bx is basically identical in functionality to the standard FLIR T640. However, as this camera is made for building applications, it has the following changes:

• More focused temperature ranges from -40 to +150°C and +100 to 650°C
• The ability to set humidity and insulation alarms, including dew point alarms

Other than these changes, the two cameras are otherwise identical..

High Temperature Range – This thermal camera is able to perform temperature readings in environments up to 1202°F (650°C) while still maintain extremely high accuracy.

Scalable P-I-P and Thermal Fusion - By using these modes, thermographers are able to blend together a thermal image with a normal image, or alternatively superimpose IR over a digital image inside a fully adjustable window.

Humidity, Dew Point and Insulation Alarms -  The FLIR T640bx has built-in alarms that are able to detect users as soon as it spots problems with moisture intrusion and potential insulation issues.

Multiple Measurements – The camera includes a wide variety of different ways to measure, including 5 measurement spots, 5 box areas, delta T temperature differential, isotherm and auto hot/cold markets

METERLINK Technology – Thanks to the partnership between FLIR and Extech, it is possible to transmit data wirelessly from Extech’s range of clamp/moisture meters and apply this data for use in a thermal image.

Annotations - Once a thermal image has been taken the T640bx allows users to interact further with the image, adding annotations in text, sketch or voice form.
