Martindale Metrohm E3640 4kV Flash Tester Details

The Martindale E3640 can be used to accurately perform flash testing procedures in order to evaluate output voltage and leakage current.

This flash tester can operate at two voltages of either 115V or 230V and features selectable frequency of 50/60Hz. Output voltage and leakage current values are displayed simultaneously on the two twin 3.5 digit LCD screens that are integrated into the body of the unit.

When testing, the E3640 features 3 modes: a breakdown mode where fast transient can trigger tripping on a circuit; a burn mode where the trip function is bypassed and the fault current flows continuously to expose the fault and a Hold function which shows a full breakdown of voltage and leakage current.

This tester is also built into its own protective carrying case, ensuring that the delicate components that make up the device are protected from harm and it is easy to port from test to test. A built-in flash gun is also included and the interface is simple to use.

The Martindale E3640 runs on mains power.
