Leica DigiCat 550i Utility Service Locator

Reliable and precise, the Leica DigiCat 550i Utility Service Locator with depth indicator is the best solution for accurately detecting live electrical cables and copper pipes underground. It is ideal for excavation and repair contractors, builders, gas and electric companies, cable tv companies, utility installation and the likes. This service locator is able to detect underground installations up to seven to ten feet deep.

For precise detection, the DigiCat 550i offers four operating frequency modes that can track and locate power or radio signals depending on the selected mode. It features a Pinpoint assist that maintains the highest peak reading and allows to accurately identifies the service position. For additional safety, the 550i comes with a Hazard Zone function that gives an extra warning to close proximity of buried services and alerts the contractor to any immediate danger.

With an IP54 rating, the Leica DigiCat is dustproof and water resistant. It uses six AA alkaline batteries that power the device up to 40 hours with intermittent use. Also, this underground utility detector features a highly visible LCD display with a built-in light sensor that is an important feature in dark conditions.
