The SV 977D is a Class 1 Sound and Vibration Level Meter designed for advanced acoustic and vibration measurements in building acoustics, occupational noise, and environmental monitoring. It is equipped with a ½” MK 255 microphone, delivering a wide frequency range from 3 Hz up to 20 kHz, and offers excellent long-term sensitivity stability. The meter provides an extended measurement range up to 40 kHz for ultrasound analysis, making it suitable for industrial and medical applications. The SV 977D offers a total dynamic range from 16 dBA RMS to 140 dBA Peak (from the instrument’s noise floor to the maximum measurable level), while the IEC 61672-1 linearity range—measured with a margin above the noise floor—spans from 23 dBA RMS to 140 dBA Peak. This ensures both wide measurement capability and full compliance with the standard.

Highlights

  • All-in-one acoustic and vibration measurement: Combines wide-range sound, ultrasound, and vibration monitoring in a single Class 1 instrument.
  • Advanced acoustic analysis: Supports A, B, C, Z, LF, U, and AU frequency weightings, Fast/Slow/Impulse time constants, and 1/1- and 1/3-octave filters (IEC 61260-1 compliant).
  • Dual-function sound and vibration meter: Operates as a Class 1 vibration meter when connected to a sensor, compliant with ISO 20816-1.
  • Wireless control and mobile app support: Equipped with Bluetooth® 5.2 for remote control and data access via apps, including Building Acoustics PRO (supports ISO 16283, RT60, and STIPA workflows).
  • High-capacity data storage: Includes a 32 GB MicroSD card for storing time history data, WAV audio recordings, and project files for in-depth post-analysis.
  • Rugged and field-ready design: Operates reliably in temperatures from –10 °C to +50 °C and up to 95% relative humidity, with over 16 hours of battery life using standard rechargeable AA batteries.
