The dual-depth Ligno-Scanner SDM clearly outperforms most non-invasive moisture meters. The meter has 2 sets of calibrations for measuring 1/4″ and  3/4″ deep. Dual-depth function is available for domestic and tropical wood species, engineered products, drywall, concrete and other building materials. Specific calibrations have been added for different types of Bamboo.

Dual-depth – a new approach to scanning :
Measures different board thicknesses: over 3/4″ and less than 3/4″.
Floor testing with 1/4″ depth assures, that only the floor planks are measured and not the concrete or subfloor underneath.
Measuring the top layer of engineered panels and floor planks accurately with the corresponding hardwood species correction.
Compares surface / core moisture to check if boards are dried evenly.
Checks surface moisture after water damage or after applying waterborne finishes.
