The Phase II PHT3300 Mini-Integrated Portable Hardness Tester with D Impact Device is an advanced integrated portable hardness tester distinguished by its very compact size, high accuracy, wide measuring range and simplicity of operation; it is suitable for testing the hardness of all metals and widely applied in many areas of industry.

The Phase II PHT-3300, as with all dynamic portable hardness testers, is designed to test very large hard parts. Steel should be close to 1 in. thick of solid material, while softer metals need even more mass.

The Phase II Plus PHT-3300 combines the universal impact device D and a data processor in a single unit. The PHT-3300 automatically computes all Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell and Shore hardness values. USB output enables this new model to print any of its memory from up to 500 groups. The impact direction can be set so that the accurate values can be achieved at any angle, even upside down; statistical mean value is automatically provided.

The measuring method of the Phase II PHT-3300 is defined as "the quotient of the impact body's rebound velocity over its impact velocity".
